Although most of us have already seen our favourite Christmas flicks a few 100 times, that's no reason not to enjoy them again at a super festive pop-up cinema. Head down to Hackney Showrooms this December and prepare to be met with a snow-frosted wonderland packed with fir trees and twinkly fairy lights, that's only accessible via a magical Narnia-esque wardrobe.
They'll be showing a long list of movies over the festive period, including much-loved flicks like Elf, Home Alone and Love Actually, and once you've found the secret entrance, you can replenish yourself at their Christmassy bar that's stocked with hot chocolate, mulled wine and bags of popcorn, before your movie rolls onto the big screen.
Sliding down a 20 metre high slide inside an LED-lit Christmas tree may sound unusual (okay - it's actually very unusual), but that's what thrill seekers can do at Wembley Park's new Christmas pop-up; Slideatron. Clamber up this extraordinary contraption to the open-air viewing platform, where you can bask in views of the park and beyond, before you take the plunge that'll have your feet back on the ground in 18 seconds flat.
Thought the fun stopped there? Think again, because a sensory light and sound show will take place every hour on the hour, and it's a glorious sight to behold. Food and drink-wise; a festive food market will be on hand providing scrumptious dishes, and they've got an 80s-themed canopy bar fronting an abundance of thirst-quenching drinks.
The Giant Cheeseboard Festival is returning to Greenwich, London this month and tickets are selling fast! If you haven't been to the event before, it does what it says on the tin. A giant interactive cheeseboard will be set up in events space Studio 338, inviting cheese lovers to walk around the cheese board and stopping to sample artisan cheeses as they roam. Ticket holders will be entitled to unlimited free cheese for the duration (with biscuits of course) and mulled wine to wash it down. Look out for the large baked Camembert, which will be taking centre stage of course!

Kids for Kids
In the spirit of giving, this Christmas look to Kids for Kids, an amazing charity that helps impoverished families in Darfur. Children and parents are given the basic essentials, from mosquito nets to farm tools, and most importantly, goats, to help them improve their lives.
The charity's Goat Loan means that families are loaned a goat for two years, allowing them to build up their flock and pass six kids on to another family. Just one cup of goat's milk a day transforms a child's health.
Celebrity supporters of the charity include Julie Etchingham, Joanna Lumley and Timothy West.
