The Luna Cinema, the UK's number 1 open air cinema is back for its ninth year, and has announced its biggest season ever – with over 150 screenings across the country at some of the most iconic and beautiful backdrops.
For the very first time, the iconic venues of Westminster Abbey and Chatsworth House in the Peak District have been granted permission for outdoor cinema screenings. Meanwhile many films will have their al fresco premiere, including Oscar-winning La La Land, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Bridget Jones' Baby.
Other highlights include the 30th anniversary screenings of Dirty Dancing, Breakfast at Tiffany's at Kenwood House, plus Hacksaw Ridge at the National Memorial Arboretum. Several films in this year's season are enjoying anniversaries in 2017, such as The Graduate, which is 50, and Casablanca which is 75, so what better way to celebrate than watching them al fresco at some of the UK's most beautiful locations.
With Royal Palaces, botanical gardens, racecourses, medieval castles and even an open air swimming pool, you can enjoy outdoor cinema at fantastic venues all across the UK from June until October. Take loved ones, enjoy a picnic and pull up a blanket for a fantastic summer season of film. Premium tickets are available at all screenings, which as standard include a branded director's chair (in prime position in the arena) for the evening, fast track access and a drink at the Luna Bar.
