Emily Ratajkowski's autumn style game really is the gift that keeps on giving, and her latest look provides a masterclass in how to nail the statement sweater.

Loud knits are an excellent way of simultaneously staying warm and bringing a dash of drama to your autumnal outfit – an area in which the supermodel is incredibly well-versed.

Since starting a new chapter following her split from husband Sebastian Bear-McClard, the 31-year-old has been throwing herself into her work. Her brand new leopard range within her Inamorata swimwear line has got us seriously pining after a quick winter getaway, and Emily's manicure moment at Miu Miu triggered a trip down memory lane as we reminisced over the logomania trend.

However, all that hard work meant that a spot of rest and relaxation was in order, and the supermodel even managed to look super stylish on her day off. Strolling around New York City's West Village on a Sunday, Emily enjoyed some downtime with her son Sylvester Apollo Bear.

Taking into account the slight chill in the air, she opted for an oversized statement knit which featured an impressively detailed woven image.

The focus of her sweater was a large likeness of the late superstar The Artist Formerly Known as Prince, and there was another striking visage of Purple Rain singer on the back of her knit too.

Oversized silhouettes can sometimes swamp the frame, but Emily kept things dynamic with a pair of straight-leg trousers in a playful leopard print and a pair of Nike's 'General Purpose' trainers, created in collaboration with Tom Sachs.

Clearly when it comes to idols, there is no better way of showing your undying appreciation than by rocking a sweater with their face on it. Next on today's to-do list? Sourcing a cosy knit featuring Em Rata…
