Rihanna may have skipped the Golden Globes red carpet, but rest assured, there was absolutely no scrimping on her beauty look. Pulling out literally all the stops (as one would expect from a beauty brand mogul), the 34-year-old exuded her trademark superstar radiance, with a little help from Fenty Beauty global makeup artist Priscilla Ono, assisted by Yvette Evora. A glowing goddess, if ever we saw one.
Her attendance at the prestigious awards was underpinned by her nomination for Best Original Song for her track Lift Me Up which featured in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The singer opted for a rose gold-imbued look which focused on a clean, refreshed skin sheen.
The rose gold tones acted as a "soft juxtaposition" against the "dramatic structure" of Rihanna's gown, according to Priscilla. Keeping the eye minimal, she blended various shimmery shades "on her lips, cheeks and body for an all-over sheen".
Rihanna teamed her glimmery makeup look alongside the most striking black sculpted gown by Italian luxury label Schiaparelli from its spring/summer 2022 haute couture collection.
"The ruched long sheath dress in black fluid jersey was paired with a dramatic opera coat, and her intricate updo hair only added to the surrealistic aesthetic of the ensemble," Hello! Fashion’s Natalie Salmon explains. "For accessories, RiRi donned Cartier jewellery and eye-wateringly vertiginous Giuseppe Zanotti heels."
