High street retailer H&M is collaborating with French fashion label Mugler on what we predict will be one of its most sought-after collections yet.

Today the brand announced news that it would be working with the house of Mugler on a capsule line that will be available to buy online and in selected stores in Spring 2023.

Crafted under the careful eye of Mugler's creative director Casey Cadwallader, the collection is set to capture the "unique and vibrant spirit" of the luxury label at a more accessible price point.

Casey Cadwallader was named creative director at Mugler back in 2017, and since his appointment the brand has continued its legacy, acting as a byword for radical shaping and all things sultry. The cult-favourite label has been worn by the likes of Dua Lipa, Kylie Jenner and Bella Hadid, to name just a few of its celeb devotees.

What exactly do we know about the pieces at this stage? The collection has been kept pretty tightly under wraps, but we expect that the aesthetic will be very much in keeping with Mugler's signature look. The brand is best known for its figure-hugging silhouettes, structured corsets, daring cut-outs and sheer panels – and so we strongly suspect that elements such as these will be transferred across into this limited-edition line.

Presenting style obsessives with the chance to get their hands on some pieces of fashion history has been one of H&M's key focuses for nearly two decades. The Swedish clothing brand has a rich history of designer collaborations – its first ever partnership was with Karl Lagerfeld (2004), other household names have followed from Balmain (2015) and to Simone Rocha (2021) and Roberto Cavalli (2007). Its radical approach, which the brand itself refers to as "democratizing high-fashion", enables audiences to experience a taste of the cutting-edge design pioneered by top labels.

H&M's fashion collabs are legendary – and the pieces extremely highly sought-after. Hence why shoppers have been known to queue for hours on the street outside stores in effort to bag pieces – now that's what we call dedication.
