Cara Delevingne eschewed her trademark edgy style for one of the most sophisticated outfits at the 2023 SAG Awards.
Of course she managed to keep things original in her gown and trousers hybrid, but the ensemble was nonetheless a masterclass in high-octane elegance. The British supermodel stunned in Carolina Herrera at the event which took place on Sunday 26 February.

Over the last four decades, the eponymous Venezuelan-born brand has become one of the world's most distinguished fashion houses, garnering numerous accolades and high-profile fans for its signature sophistication. With over 72 shows and 37 years of fashion, Carolina Herrera took her final bow after presenting her Fall 2018 collection at the Museum of Modern Art and appointed American designer, the elfin Wes Gordon as Creative Director. The iconic label has gone from strength to strength in his tenure, and gained many A-list fans. CH is a favourite of Meghan Markle, who has worn the brand to many of her most memorable public engagements including the blush pink bardot dress she donned at her first ‘Trooping the Colour,’ back in 2018.
Delevingne, whose show Only Murders in the Building was nominated for a SAG Award, paired the outfit with a classic bold red lip, fluttery eyelashes and dazzling De Beers diamond necklace. The flawless makeup was the work of MUA Wendy Rowe, author of Eat Beautiful. For hair Danielle Priano coiffed a sleek and sophisticated blow dry, which modernised the look.

The model-turned actress took to Instagram to post about her excitement for the evening ahead saying, “so excited to be attending my first @sagawards tonight as a part of the nominated cast of @onlymurdershulu!!”
Delevingne definitely understood the assignment when it came to dressing in one of Gordon’s gowns. Under the watchful eye of her crack styling team, made up of duo Mariel Haenn and Rob Zangardi (the pair also look after the likes of Suki Waterhouse, Jessica Biel and Jennifer Lopez) she kept it staggeringly sophisticated, and frankly, we are here for it.
