White sand beaches, turquoise waters and luxury at every turn - it’s no wonder Turks & Caicos is luring in holidaymakers that want serenity fused with grandeur.

The cluster of coral islands, which sit southeast of the Bahamas, have long been a go-to place for A-Listers like Kylie Jenner, Hailey and Justin Bieber, and Dua Lipa

And even though the Caribbean paradise is growing in popularity, it’s still maintaining its exclusivity with boutique five-star hotels, empty coastlines and gourmet dining.

An archipelago of 40 islands and cays, Turks & Caicos ticks a lot of boxes - particularly in the Providenciales area, often called Provo. Sunseekers will love the weather, adrenaline junkies are spoiled with water sports and boat trips, and foodies can indulge in rich local cuisine.

WHERE TO STAY:

Since its grand opening in 2009, Wymara Resort and Villas has made a name for itself as a hotel where island charm meets effortless elegance.

The luxurious sanctuary on Grace Bay beach, Provo, offers the scope of a high-end resort with the exclusivity of a boutique hotel, including a 24-hour gym with state-of-the-art machines, wellness programmes and on-site spa.

Each room and suite has a breathtaking view, whilst the secluded villas are Green Globe Certified with infinity pools, fire pits and your very own staircase to the beach.

Insider tip: The most romantic stay of the resort is the One Bedroom Pool Villa, which has a secluded balcony and infinity pool.

WHAT TO DO:

Beyond relaxing on sugar-sand beaches and soaking in Caribbean culture, there’s plenty to do in Turks & Caicos.

The highlight of our Turks trip was a private boat island hopping tour, which lasted for six hours and had time carved out to snorkel by a shipwreck and relax on the secluded sands of Half Moon Bay, which sits between the uninhabited islands of Little Water Cay and Water Cay.

For more heart-rate-raising activities, there’s parasailing, jet ski rental and dolphin spotting.

Insider tip: You can customise your boat excursions based on time and preferences when you book directly through providers.

WHERE TO WELLNESS:

For a moment of R&R, The Spa at Wymara partners with London-based 111Skin and the local Wildflower Skincare Lab for gold standard treatments.

The boutique wellness destination is ideal for those seeking tranquility, with private shower gardens and a relaxation garden. Treatments take place in one of three luxurious rooms, and there’s also two couple’s spa suites.

Try the ‘Rose Gold Radiance Facial’ for a radiant and contoured face, or the popular ‘Provo Signature Massage’ for long-standing muscle relaxation.

Insider tip: Guests at Wymara Resort and Villas can add yoga, meditation, pilates and sound bath sessions to their spa day for no extra charge

WHERE TO EAT:

Rated as one of the top 10% restaurants worldwide by Trip Advisor and awarded Restaurant of the Year by the Turks & Caicos Hotel & Tourism Association, Indigo the type of eatery you'll wish you could return to week-after-week.

The indoor-outdoor venue, which is situated on the Wymara resort, offers a luxurious, Caribbean-inspired culinary journey with dishes like white sturgeon caviar, caribbean mahi mahi, jumbo king prawn, roasted cauliflower steak and rib eye steak.

“Every single item in the menu has a purpose, and that is to tell a story," says executive chef and Indigo Culinary Director, Andrew Mirosch. "Indigo features the best of the best in terms of quality and sustainably sourced ingredients."
