Good luck charm Nicole Scherzinger cheers Lewis Hamilton on to Grand Prix victory

There's nothing like a bit of support from the one you love.

At least that seemed to be the case for British racing driver Lewis Hamilton as he stole victory at Sunday's Turkish Grand Prix with girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger looking on. It was the first time the Pussycat Doll had been there to cheer on her beau at a race this season and she certainly made her presence felt. The in-love pair, who some reports say are on the verge of getting engaged, couldn't take their eyes off each other as they chatted together on the starting grid before the race.

Then, jumping up and down while following the action from the pit lane, she watched Lewis clinch his win in the final stages from teammate Jenson Button. "'I’m very proud of him," said the 31-year-old singer. "Good job babe!" It was 25-year-old Lewis's first victory since the Singapore Grand Prix last autumn and he admitted Nicole was something of a good-luck charm for him. "Every time she comes I seem to win," he said. "I think it was Monaco 2008 she came, then Hungary last year which I won and Singapore, so she is definitely a bit lucky for me. "And it seems to work the other way around as well. Just last week Lewis was in the audience to watch girlfriend-of-three-years Nicole emerge victorious on US TV's Dancing With The Stars. And she wasn't the only celeb cheering on her nearest and dearest at a race circuit this weekend.

Kiss The Girls star Ashley Judd dashed barefoot along the track to congratulate her Scottish racing driver husband Dario Franchitti after he won the Indy 500. Embracing her spouse of nine years, she then joined him in kissing the tarmac in thanks for the victory at the famous US race. Among the other big names in the crowd on the day were Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, acting legend Jack Nicholson and talk-show host David Letterman.
