Tamara Ecclestone defends daughter's tan after criticism

Tamara Ecclestone and husband Jay Rutland are currently enjoying an idyllic holiday in the Bahamas with their two-year-old daughter Sophia. But their blissful break was interrupted this week when Tamara was forced to comment on claims made by some Instagram followers that little Sophia looked sunburnt.Both Tamara, 31, and Jay, 35, have shared a number of photos from the holiday, many of which show Sophia playing in the sunshine. The images prompted some social media users to suggest that the couple should be keeping a better eye on Sophia's skin.

"She's sunburnt," one of Jay's followers wrote under an image of Sophia in the swimming pool, while another added: "Get some factor 50 on her!"On Thursday, Tamara uploaded another photo of Sophia, nicknamed Fifi, and took the time to set the record straight.

The family have been enjoying an idyllic holiday in the Bahamas

"For all you busy bodies commenting on Sophia's tan she is not burnt in the slightest, has been wearing factor 70 and kept out of the midday sun," the mum-of-one wrote."She is a lucky girl that tans quickly, none the less I am fully aware of the dangers of the sun and she has never burnt. What can I say, @jayrutland is partial to a filter…"

Both Tamara and Jay have shared a number of holiday snapshots

Her comeback was praised by her fans, who quickly posted supportive comments. "You're an amazing mum and I would never think anything less of you than you protecting Fifi properly. My daughter is blessed with olive skin too and with factor 50 comes back with the best tan out of all of us," one follower wrote.

Another added: "There will always be negativity. Ignore them and enjoy those precious family times together and do what you do best. Great parents to little Fifi."
