Waxworks of disco diva Whitney Houston have been unveiled to mark the anniversary of her death. The four new figures were revealed at the world famous Madame Tussauds wax museum in New York on Thursday, almost a year to the day after Whitney was found dead in Los Angeles. The models, which will each go to a different city in America, show Whitney in a variety of her iconic looks. One of the singer in a tracksuit with her hair kept back with a sweat band is from her sensational performance of Star Spangled Banner at the 1991 Superbowl in Florida.

A more modern replica of the star from her I Look To You album photoshoot shows the singer in a sparkling gold gown that will stay New York. New Jersey-born Whitney's acting debut in The Bodyguard is honoured with a waxwork of the I Will Always Love You songstress' metallic outfit and will stand at Madame Tussauds in Hollywood while a fourth and final waxwork will find its home in Las Vegas. It shows Whitney in a pink dress from the video for I Wanna Dance With Somebody, with her vibrant curls cascading from her head.

Whitney's former manager and sister-in-law Pat attended the unveiling, as did the singer's mother Cissy and brother Gary. "We were extremely honoured when Madame Tussauds approached us about doing four figures of Whitney from different points in her 30-year career" Pat commented. "This is something we are excited to do for the fans. "According to People magazine the four lookalikes mark the first time in 200 years that Madame Tussauds have created such a number of waxworks of the same person.
