Frances Bean Cobain in talks to become the new face of Chanel

27 APRIL 2008

With her late father's striking pale blue eyes and her mother's distinctive bone structure, Frances Bean Cobain is quite a beauty. Now it appears designer Karl Lagerfeld has also recognised her appeal.

Chanel's top man is said to be in discussions to sign the teenager - the daughter of actress Courtney Love and Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain - as the face of the luxury label.

"She is incredibly pretty and has the most perfect porcelain skin," a friend revealed. "She and her mother are having talks with Karl about Frances appearing in his next ad campaign."

Like many mums in her situation would be, Courtney is believed to have a few worries about the 15-year-old becoming caught up in the fast-moving fashion world.

"Courtney is concerned about Frances pursuing a catwalk career at such a young age," added the pal.

If things go ahead Frances, whose father rock star Kurt Cobain died in 1991, will join the likes of British actress Keira Knightley - who is the face of Coco Mademoiselle perfume - in collaborating with the glamorous label.
