Beyonce has called on her favourite British fashion designer Julien Macdonald to create the sparkling looks for her 59-date Mrs Carter tour, which kicks off in Belgrade on April 15. The stylish superstar will take to the stage decked out in a series of custom made costume designs that will no doubt satisfy the duo's shared love for glitz and glamour, incorporating a variety of dramatic diva designs along with Julien's signature sparkles. An avid fan of the designer, Beyonce, 31, personally approached the former head of Chanel knitwear after she famously wore his brand to a series of high profile events.

The Destiny’s Child singer was seen most recently sporting one of the label's latest looks at a New Year’s Eve performance in Las Vegas, where she rocked a show stopping sequin mini dress. Even more memorable was the vibrant yellow fringed leotard that she wore for a 2011 Good Morning America performance. "Julien is a huge Beyonce fan so he’s really excited about producing some custom-made,bespoke outfits," a source revealed. The Twynyrodyn-born talent made an announcement himself when discussing his autumn/winter ‘Viva Las Vegas’ collection in his West London studio a few weeks ago. ''There's nothing better than seeing somebody you admire, or someone who embodies Julien Macdonald. "I like girls like Beyonce or Kristen Stewart, they are amazing women. Iconic. They are part of a new generation. When she started wearing my clothes it was amazing!"

It’s a match made in heaven. Known for his sexy aesthetic and love of sequins, feathers and fringe detail, Julien's style is perfectly in keeping with Beyonce's love of risque high fashion as well as her daring diva status. Looking at the designer's autumn/winter collection, it's likely that the sparkly runway designs that lit up London Fashion Week have been designed with Beyonce in mind. Similarly, Julien's spring/summer 2013 collection, entitled Island Life, was inspired by "strong females" like Sharon Stone. The designer's celebrity clientele includes the stylish likes of Kylie Minogue, Naomi Campbell, Selena Campbell and Kristen Stewart.
