The Pulp Fiction actor seemed thrilled as he and wife Kelly Preston went for a jaunt over Australia's Gold Coast in an enormous Airbus A380. John, who is employed as an ambassador by the airline Qantas, travelled to Brisbane for the chance to take to the skies in its new flagship.
Despite the fact he has logged over 5,000 hours of flying time, the performer confessed he would feel too nervous to take the controls of the mammoth aircraft. "I would love to have a go at flying it but I don't know if I would be allowed to really right now - maybe down the road a little bit," he said. "Hopefully within the next year."
And although his wife also seemed to be enjoying the fun, she told her leading man not to get any ideas about parking the aircraft outside their home. Kelly can rest assured that the seven-storey high jet, which carries a price tag of over £150 million, would be a little expensive even by her famous husband's standards. "I don't think I can personally afford one of these but it's good to be part of it," said the actor. |
