London's Albert Hall was turned into a winter wonderland as The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe had its royal premiere on Wednesday night. Making their way through a fake blizzard, the glitterati flocked to watch the big-screen adaptation of the childrens' classic.
Tilda Swinton, who portrays the White Witch, was the epitome of icy splendour as she arrived in a floor-length skirt, teamed with a ruffled, gold jacket. And guests of honour Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall stepped through snow as they made their way up the blue - rather than red - carpet. Demonstrating her ever-increasing fashion awareness, Camilla had chosen a Robinson Valentine skirt in one of the season's hottest colours - midnight blue.
The film, which is based on CS Lewis' famous children's tale, follows the Pevensie children, who discover a gateway to the frozen, magical land of Narnia through the back of a wardrobe.
Posing with X-factor judge Sharon Osbourne, child actresses Georgie Henley and Anna Popplewell looked more than a little starstruck by their fellow guests. Sixteen-year-old Anna, who plays the sensible eldest daughter Susan, admitted she'd been practising her curtesy to Prince Charles before the big night, while her on-screen sibling, Georgie, said she found sharing the limelight with the line-up of celebs "overwhelming".
Also enjoying the gala screening were former Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox and Harry Potter actress Julie Walters. They were joined by Wayne Rooney's fiancée Colleen McLoughlin, Kelly Brook and Silent Witness' Emilia Fox, elegant in a gold puffball-style skirt.
The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe opens in the UK on Thursday and in the US on Friday.
