It could have been a nerve-wracking moment for Boy George as, eight years after he released his last record, he performed his new song Time Machine at London's Pigalle club. But with Kylie Minogue cheering him on enthusiastically the former Culture Club singer was certainly not short of star support.
The diminutive pop star enthusiastically danced her way through the 45-year-old's performance of his single, in which he duets with Amanda Ghost, before rushing back stage to give the man of the moment a congratulatory hug.
Kylie, 38, is back in the recording studio herself after recovering from treatment for breast cancer. And she is keeping her promise to her fans, returning to Australia next month to re-launch her spectacular Showgirl tour, followed by sell-out dates at Wembley in January.
Also promoting new music material this week was Sean 'Diddy' Combs who held a launch party for his album Press Play in New York. The rapper, who is expecting twins with partner Kim Porter in December, was as immaculately presented as ever in a smart suit accessorised with a gold medallion and a bling-tastic rock on his finger. Hip-hop stars Mary J Blige and Kanye West were among the celebrity guests showing their support.
