McFly's Harry Judd has revealed that he has been diagnosed with a heart condition, which was discovered as he prepares to run the London Marathon. The musician, 27, has been undergoing serious training ahead of the 26 mile race, which is thought to have contributed to an 'ectopic heartbeat'. Harry, who won the 2011 series of Strictly Come Dancing, has reassured fans the condition is not too serious, saying, "It's nothing to worry about but just means I have to chill out a bit" as he explained the latest developments on Twitter.

"So I've acquired an ectopic heart beat through excessive exercise. It's known as a wandering pacemaker commonly seen in athletes… It's really annoying," he tweeted. "It proves I've been pushing as hard as possible for the marathon + if u've been thinking of sponsoring me then surely that will pursuance u (sic)?"Ending on a high note, Harry, 27, pointed out, "Athletes get it though… :-)"The McFly drummer's diagnosis comes less than three weeks before he is due to run the 26 miles to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and his wife Izzy's appeal Eyes Alight, which was inspired by her brother Rupert, who suffered a serious brain injury in a road accident in 1997.

Along with four friends, Harry will run the Virgin London Marathon on April 21, and then two weeks later the group will take part in Tough Mudder, a 13 mile assault course with obstacles ranging from bog and rivers to fire crossings. Proudly cheering him on at both events will no doubt be Izzy, who he married in December in a romantic winter wedding ceremony, featured exclusively in HELLO!.
