29 MARCH 2004
Prince Charles has been enjoying some snowy quality time with his eldest son in Switzerland. The two royals laughed and joked together during their annual holiday photocall in the exclusive ski resort of Klosters in the Swiss Alps.

And the Prince of Wales threw formality to the wind by donning a blue bobbled ski-hat for the occasion. The press pack also noted that it was a more confident, outgoing Prince William than they had met in previous years.

In the past his father has done most of the talking, but this time around it was William who took charge. The 21-year-old seemed relaxed and self-assured as he engaged in some good-natured banter with the photographers.

Unfortunately his brother couldn't join in the fun, because he is working in Africa as part of his gap year. But Wills said there was an upside to not having his sibling around - namely that he didn't have to compete with the 19-year-old on the slopes. "Harry wishes he was here but I am quite glad he isn't because it make me look a bit better," he joked.

The two Princes were both clearly in high spirits at the photocall. Wills said his skiing skills have improved, but he's still not on a par with his younger brother
