Three generations of the Spanish royal family wrapped up their summer holidays on Majorca with a visit to a theme park and a traditional gala dinner.
Local residents did double takes as Queen Sofia, clad in casual slacks and loose shirt with a camera slung round her neck, shepherded her five eldest grandchildren into the Marine Land park for an afternoon's fun.

And local photographers were equally thrilled a couple of days later when they managed to get this summer's first and only picture of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia together with their three children – Crown Prince Felipe and the Infantas Elena and Cristina - and spouses.
The line-up at this year's royal gala dinner is a particularly photo-worthy one as it includes a pregnant Crown Princess Letizia, who is expecting her first child with Felipe at the end of the year.
Though the king and queen already have six grandchildren from Elena and Cristina, excitement over the popular crown prince's first-born is running high in family-minded Spain.
