Royal aides said the Prince, whose mother Princess Diana was patron of the English National Ballet, got on very well with the dancers, who were surprised to see him in their midst. "He had a chat with a few of them, though most didn't speak English too well," said a source.
It's only one of a string of jobs that the Prince has been doing while on the Derbyshire estate. Customers at Chatsworth's farm store were stunned to see him serving behind the counter in an apron and a straw boater. The training is to prepare him for an eventual career in land management. "He is fascinated by the environment like his father. His true interest lies in the countryside," revealed the aide.
In the meantime, however, the second-in-line to the throne plans to work in a bank and join a mountain rescue team, before following his brother Harry into the Army for a short stint. |
