JOAN COLLINS AMONG STARS IN RISQUE NEW M&S ADS

Tucked up snuggly on a bed of fake fur and apparently naked apart from the jewellery dripping from her wrists and throat, Joan Collins defines her idea of Christmas magic as, "a nicely roasted bird". A comedy scene from her latest movie perhaps? No, a take from Marks & Spencer's new Christmas advertising campaign.

The glamorous 69-year-old grandmother is just one of a host of top British TV actors and celebs to participate in the new ads. Fellow players are David Beckham, TV presenters Cat Deeley, Graham Norton and Denise van Outen, plus Patriot Games actor Sean Bean and Cold Feet star Hermione Norris.

Also featured in one of the 40-second ads is retired comedian Ronnie Barker, who gave up show business 15 years ago to concentrate on running an antiques business. In his clip, the former Porridge star burps before confessing that his favourite aspect of Christmas is…"repeats".

Each participant was paid £100,000 for their contribution to the £5 million campaign which is the most risqué the retail stalwart has ever run.
