Liz Hurley has splashed out a princely £2.75 million on a new luxury home in the Cotswolds. With eight bedrooms and 72 acres of grounds, the actress' new digs offer more than enough room for herself and baby Damian.
The farmhouse is set in the picturesque village of Barnsley in Gloucestershire. Her new neighbours include authors Jilly Cooper and Joanna Trollope, presenter Anne Robinson and Prince Charles, whose Highgrove Estate is nearby.
Liz has been searching for a property in the area for some time now, but was beaten to a £3.3-million manor in nearby Church Westcote by Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes.
And it would seem locals are looking forward to the arrival of their latest glamorous resident. "She has been in the village and in the pub," said parish council chairman Adrian Sellars. "Barnsley is a small unspoilt village and a very welcoming place. There is a mixture of people who have lived here for years and a lot who have retired."
The 37-year-old's newly secluded home won't stop her from making it to glamorous film and fashion events, however, as she plans to hold onto her £2-million townhouse in Chelsea, as well as a £2-million property in Los Angeles.
