Friends and family members are mourning the loss of up-and-coming actress Laura Sadler, who died on Thursday at a London hospital.
The Holby City star succumbed to injuries she sustained after falling from a second-floor balcony at her boyfriend's Holland Park flat earlier this week. A spokesperson for Charing Cross Hospital, where she had been in a critical condition since June 15, said she died peacefully with her family at her bedside.
"It is difficult to express how great a loss this is for Laura's family and friends," said the actress' agent, Michele Milburn. "She was loved by everyone, for her kindness and generosity of spirit. She had a unique talent, and I am certain was only at the start of what would have been a brilliant career."
TV colleagues have also been paying tribute to the young celebrity, who played staff nurse Sandy Harper in the BBC programme. "Everyone at Holby City, and indeed, across the BBC, is devastated by this news. Laura was a much-loved, talented and respected actress," said controller of BBC drama series, Mal Young.
Police had arrested Laura's co-star and real-life boyfriend, George Calil, in connection with the incident, but released him on bail pending further inquiries.
