David Beckham proved that he's still a romantic at heart by treating wife Victoria to a Valentine's Day lunch in Madrid. The handsome athlete presented her with a bouquet of red roses before taking her for a meal in the Ritz Hotel on Saturday.

The glamorous couple were eager to make it a family affair, so they brought Romeo and Brooklyn along rather than getting a babysitter. And onlookers noticed the singer was carrying what looked like a jewellery gift box when they left the posh eaterie a few hours later.

Opera star Charlotte Church also enjoyed a Valentine's Day to remember with her new beau Kyle Johnson. The couple were seen laughing and holding hands as they had dinner at a waterfront bistro in Cardiff.

The two have been seeing each other since Charlotte, who will take control of a £16-million fortune when she turns 18 on Saturday, broke up with DJ Steven Johnson before Christmas.

Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow meanwhile stepped out with her husband Chris Martin in Liverpool's fashionable Albert Dock. The couple, who are expecting their first child in a few months time, celebrated Valentine's Day by dining at the trendy Pan American eaterie.
