Liz Jagger took retro chic to a whole new level when she stepped out in an ensemble that was over a thousand years in the making. The catwalk queen donned a Viking helmet and Wagnerian dress for her little brother James' 21st birthday bash on Thursday night.
Her outfit was in stark contrast to the slinky gowns she is usually seen in, but the 22-year-old model wasn't the only one sporting clothes a few centuries out of date. Medieval times was the theme of the exclusive soiree, and the Hedges & Butler members' club in Mayfair found itself awash with crusader knights and damsels in distress as the event got underway.
The birthday boy was also dressed to impress in orange leggings and a tunic, but his dad Sir Mick, who was accompanied by his statuesque girlfriend L'Wren Scott, decided to eschew fancy dress in favour of a conservative black suit. Socialite Camilla al-Fayed likewise opted for more contemporary attire, stepping out in a strapless black minidress. But there was a distinctly historic look to her gold medallion necklace.
James was congratulated by 130 friends and loved ones as he marked his coming of age in the exclusive West End nightspot. And the aspiring thesp, who is currently studying acting in New York, will now be well-prepared should he ever get the chance to appear in a period drama.
