When Celine Dion gave a show-stopping performance for a good cause over the weekend Rene Angelil, her number one fan and husband of 11 years was - as always - at her side.

The Canadian chanteuse, who appears in a sell-out show on the Vegas Strip, was one of the star guests taking time out to help raise funds for charity during the annual Labor Day Telethon hosted by legendary comedian Jerry Lewis.

And combining motherhood with a hugely successful music career has clearly proved a winning formula for the svelte singer, who shows no signs of slowing down after more than two decades in the business.

Dressed in an elegant white halter-neck gown that showed off her svelte physique, the talented mum of one - son Rene-Charles is now five-years-old - pulled out all the stops for the 21-hour TV variety show. Her performance proved that the 38-year-old chanteuse still has what it takes to stay at the top. Indeed, a recent poll named the Quebec-born star as one of the 100 most influential names in showbiz, placing her in 24th position on the list, above actor Tom Hanks.
