With a new romance going from strength to strength and her first ever world tour coming up, life is clearly good for Kylie Minogue at the moment. The Aussie chanteuse's sunny mood was evident at the weekend as she attended one of the final parties of the Cannes Film Festival with a spring in her step.
Kylie - who turns 41 next week - is gearing up for her first ever US dates, which kick off in San Fransico in September. And she'll have an extra sparkle when she takes to the stage since she's apparently planning to take her new beau, hunky Spanish model Andres Velencoso, with her.
"She really wants Andres to travel with her. I'm sure he will because he is as smitten with her as she is with him," a family friend tells the Daily Express. "He's a really lovely guy and Kylie just can't stop smiling. She keeps saying that it's true life begins at 40 – and a lot of that is down to Andres. He's so attentive and loving."
There was a chance for the Cannes crowd to get a taste of what US fans can expect when Kylie took to the stage at a Malaria benefit at the cine festival at the weekend. As famous faces including James Blunt and Peaches Geldof looked on, the petite singer performed her mega hit Can't Get You Out Of My Head.
As well as touring the US, Kylie has her sights set on another career move – she's been taking drama lessons with a view to reviving her acting career. "I would quite like to do some comedy or rom-com roles," she tells the Daily Mirror. "And I think it would be fun to do a Bollywood movie as well."
