Kim Kardashian's ex presses for divorce trial to ensure 'truth' about marriage is heard

She infamously filed for divorce after just 72 days of marriage.

Now Kim Kardashian is seeking to make the end of her relationship with Kris Humphries official.

On Friday, a lawyer acting for the reality star told an LA judge that it’s time to move forward with the divorce case, accusing Kris of attempting to prolong proceedings for publicity’s sake.

"I feel that (Kris)’ personal feelings and maybe some media drive is keeping this case alive," Laura Wasser said during the brief hearing.

She added that Kris – who is seeking an annulment from Kim, claiming fraud – could face a big payout of the case goes to trial.

But the NBA star is not intimidated, according to Radar Online.

He has reportedly decided to press ahead with a divorce trial rather than an out-of-court settlement.

"The only way that this case won’t go to trial is if Kim publicly apologises to Kris and admits that she only married him for TV ratings," a source close to 27-year-old said.

"Kris just wants to the truth to come out and Kim is absolutely livid that she isn’t getting her own way. Kris wants Kim to answer questions about their relationship, under oath.

"Kris won’t be silenced and he isn’t after her money, he doesn’t want one dime from her. It’s just about the truth coming out, something that Kim’s camp seems to be petrified about."

"Kris is ready to be deposed and answer questions under oath," the source added.

"He looks forward to Kim being deposed and he will be there when it happens."

Meanwhile, Kim has started a new romance with rapper Kanye West - and he already has the seal of approval from the Kardashian clan.

"Honestly, we’ve known Kanye forever," Kim’s sister Khloe told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview last month.

"He’s been a great family friend. I love Kanye.

"Kris is a good person – it’s not that – it’s just that I think him and Kim weren’t compatible together," she added.
