Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton recently spoke of the transformation her body underwent whilst training for Strictly Come Dancing. Before swapping bikes for the ballroom, Victoria was the proud owner of a toned physique and powerful thighs that powered her to gold and silver medals at London 2012.

And now the athlete reveals she has also lost 10lbs since becoming a dancer.  Speaking at the Classical Brit Awards earlier this week Victoria admitted: "I've lost weight. Since the Olympics, I haven't done any serious weight training. "I've done a bit of work in the gym, but not any weight training to the level that I'm used to. And as a consequence I've already lost four and a half kilos of muscle. Mainly from my thighs."

Far from being happy with the change, the proud brunette said she was "sad" to be losing muscle from her greatest asset – her legs.Victoria isn't the only Strictly contestant whose body shape has changed thanks to the show's gruelling schedule. During the 2010 season, many of the ladies were transformed.

Pamela Stephenson

Holby City actress Patsy Kensit lost two stone during her stint on the floor, and attributed the weight loss to the insistence of her dance partner Robin Windsor. "I am on my knees exhausted. But he (Robin) is doing the right thing and I have lost two stone," she said at the time. Perhaps the most radical change was seen in Patsy's colleague Pamela Stephenson, who is the wife of Scottish comedian Billy Connolly.

The blonde slimmed down from size 16 into a 12, and said she felt more confident than ever. "I have confidence in my body, which I haven't had for probably 30 years. I feel stronger and fitter - and I needed it. "I've always found losing weight hard because I love food too much. But Strictly is the best fat camp in the universe!"
