Adele immortalised with Madame Tussauds waxwork

Adele has already scooped an Oscar and MBE this year, and now the multi-award winning singer and songwriter has been honoured by Madame Tussauds with a wax figure.The acclaimed performer's waxworks, to be revealed in London and Amsterdam, will mean that Adele joins the likes of Lady Gaga, Rihanna and the Queen.

Dressed in a glamorous black dress, the wax figure of the singing sensation mirrors her Grammys 2012 look, when she scooped six gongs for her hit album 21.Adele, 25, will join a host of female stars on the music stage at the famous London attraction and its Amsterdam sister venue this month.Madame Tussauds PR Manager Nicole Fenner said that "Adele is the perfect addition to the music line up.""She's one of the world's hottest properties right now and one of our most requested personalities.In fact we've seen a huge increase in requests for her figure since Skyfall was released and the timing seems perfect to honour her after such phenomenal success with the song.

"She is one of the most influential British female artists and we know she is going to be a huge hit with our guests alongside our other pop greats. We're very excited to welcome her to Madame Tussauds London. "Mum-of-one Adele will no doubt be thrilled to add yet another string to her professional bow, which boasts a vast collection of BRIT awards, Grammys, an Oscar and most recently an MBE from the Queen for her services to music.

The songstress will be joining a dream list of female artists – including Beyonce, Rihanna, and Amy Winehouse – on the stage at Madame Tussauds.
