The reality TV star is in the middle of filming his new show for ITV2, which follows Joey on his adventure from South Africa to Uganda.

Upon landing in Johannesburg on Sunday evening, Joey met a group of South Africa's fashion elite who go by the name of "boasters". Known for their love of bling, "boasters" enjoy flashing their cash and wearing brightly coloured designer clothes, but fashion shop owner Joey was on hand to share his hottest tips.

The 23-year-old also met a domesticated monkey called Milo at a flea market, and later headed to the Kruger National Park in the hope of meeting the big five. Animal lover Joey will travel to Uganda on Friday where he will trek through the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to monkeys, gorillas and other wildlife.

Joey, who starred in jungle show I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! last December, has remained tight lipped about the new project. Rumour has it that the programme, scheduled to air in spring, will be called Joey's Monkey Business. "The ITV bosses knew that Joey would be compulsive viewing in the jungle so they thought of another project for him to take part in afterwards," an insider told The Mirror. "They knew he would go down a treat — and he has — so now there's lots of excitement about his monkey show. Joey loves monkeys so this was a concept that they came up with after lots of conversations. "Joey himself dropped a hint about the show, tweeting at the start of his trip, "Exciting being in South Africa shooting my new show for @itv2 gonna trek through Uganda in a few days but will I find any monkeys?!!"
