Kate Winslet to receive Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Kate Winslet is to be honoured with a star on Tinseltown's most famous pavement — the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Her career has spanned almost 25 years and in that time, Kate has scooped one Oscar, two Golden Globes, two BAFTAs and several other awards.

The British actress will be presented with the accolade by Titanic director James Cameron and her former co-star Kathy Bates, who played the straight-talking Molly Brown in the 1997 drama, according to Hollywood.com.

The mother-of-three has been married to Ned Rocknroll, the nephew of Virgin billionaire Richard Branson, for just over a year. The couple welcomed their first child, and Kate's third, last December — baby son Bear.

Kate speaks out: 'My children don't go from pillar to post'.

Kate has two teenage children, Mia and Joe, from her previous marriages to film director Jim Threapleton and stage and film director Sam Mendes, respectively.

The curse of the Academy Awards? Oscar-winning celebrities who have ended their romance.

The Berkshire-born star has previously spoken out, saying she was "baffled" at the criticism she has received for her past relationships.

"It's very easy to be judgmental until you know someone’s truth," she said. "People have no idea at all."
