Coleen Rooney’s husband may play for Manchester United but she wasn’t afraid to gush about Liverpool Football Club on Sunday night. The fashion star was eager to show her appreciation via Twitter before they won 2-1 against Newcastle, but ended up losing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City. Before the verdict was known Coleen told approximately 1.11million followers that she was rooting for a miraculous recovery from her favourite soccer club.

It came as Ashely Cole – the former husband of pop star Cheryl Cole – announced he was retiring from international football after learning he would not be placed on the England squad for next month’s World Cup in Brazil.
