Producer and writer Stephen will wed Carla Soviero in New York City towards the end of the year in a ceremony he had been planning at the time of his mother’s sudden death on 12 August.
He told the New York Post he was devastated that Lauren didn’t live long enough to be there.
"It's my third marriage, her second… I knew Carla long ago, but we separated then reconnected. I'm 66, she's 60," he said of his bride, adding that his sister Leslie Bacall was flying in from LA, and his half-brother Sam Robards would be coming from Denmark.

Former New York Mayor David Dinkins is officiating the small ceremony.
Stephen is Lauren's eldest child. She married Humphrey in 1945 when she was 20 and he was 45, and the couple welcomed Stephen (born 1949) and his sister Leslie (born 1952), before the actor's death in 1957.
Lauren married her second husband, actor Jason Robards Jr, in 1961, and together they had a son, Sam, before their divorce in 1969.

Following Lauren's death, it was announced that her $26.6million estate would be divided between her children, with $10,000 set aside to care for her beloved dog Sophie.
