Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield back together: 'the sparks are still there'

Six weeks after taking a break from their three-year relationship, The Amazing Spider-Man stars Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield have reunited. The two actors were spotted in public together holding hands at Malibu Farm and Sushi Park in Los Angeles.

"Emma and Andrew are a great couple who have been apart for work," a source revealed to People magazine.

The source added: "They are still seeing each other. Nothing major happened between them while he was away other than a long and forced separation.

"Andrew has been incredibly busy and so has Emma. But the sparks are still there."

News that Arizona-born Emma and her British love had called time on their relationship came in early April.

Emma and Andrew regularly walked the red carpet together

However the new reports come after Emma being spotted greeting Andrew's parents on Saturday, after they attended a London screening of Emma's new film Aloha.

It also follows pictures which showed the Birdman actress carrying a bag with Andrew's name on it - which for fans of the two was no doubt hope that they were still in touch and possibly looking at reconciling.

The pair had previously not been seen together since early January, and Andrew was also noticeably absent from this year's Golden Globes and Oscars, where Emma was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.

For much of the year Andrew was away filming Martin Scorsese's new film Silence in Taiwan.

"He's thrown himself into the project to the detriment of all else," a source told People. "But it's too early to say the relationship is over."

"Emma understands his work anxieties – it's why she originally pulled out of Cabaret last year and only did it this year – but they're both taking a break from seeing each other, They're both a slave to their schedules."
