Perrie Edwards has no time to plan 'perfect' wedding to Zayn Malik

Zayn Malik might have quit One Direction to spend more time with his fiancée Perrie Edwards, but that doesn't mean the couple have imminent wedding plans. Little Mix star Perrie, 21, has admitted that her busy pop career has meant they haven't had the time to plan their "perfect" day yet.

The pretty blonde is currently promoting the band’s new single Black Magic, and during an interview with the Sun this week, spoke about how focused she has been on working on Little Mix's third album.

Perrie Edwards has said she hasn't had time to plan her 'perfect' wedding to Zayn Malik

"I don't know when the wedding will be," Perrie said. "We're still planning it but I'm so busy with Little Mix now Black Magic is coming out." She continued, "Me and Zayn want it to be perfect, so as soon as I have a bit of time we'll plan it. I doubt it will be this summer – but I'll let you know."

While their wedding might be a way off, Perrie is relishing spending more time with Zayn following his departure from One Direction in March. "It's nice to see more of him now," the star said. "We spend a lot of time in the kitchen, he's a great chef."

Perrie's comments come less than a week after Liam Payne revealed that Zayn has left the band because he wanted to spend more time with his family and his fiancée.

Zayn Malik decided to quit One Direction to spend more time with his family and future wife

"Sometimes you have to move on because you're not enjoying what you're doing as much as you used to," Liam told Lisa Snowdon during an interview on Capital FM. "He wanted to spend time with his family and missus. That's cool with us."

Zayn announced that he was quitting One Direction after five years in March, stating that he wanted to be a "normal 22-year-old". At the time, many fans speculated that Perrie might have been the motivation for his decision, describing her as the "Yoko Ono of 1D".
