Hours after writing a public apology to his fans, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and his fiancée Mara Lane cuddled up for a sweet photograph together which they posted on her Instagram page. The image shows the Tudors actor dressed in a leather jacket and wearing a beanie hat next to Mara, and was simply captioned: "Wishing you a lovely day and rest of week. With Love, J&M."
Jonathan is hoping to reassure his concerned fans after a recent "blip" in his recovery from alcohol addiction. Last week, worrying pictures were published showing the Irish star apparently intoxicated and looking dishevelled as he walked down a street in London.

On Tuesday, Jonathan, 37, spoke out about the incident for the first time, with a message again posted on Mara's Instagram page.
"Mara and I are thankful for your support and kindness during this time. I apologise for having a minor relapse and hope that people don't think too badly of me. I stopped drinking immediately," he told his supporters.
"…I am on the mend and thank well wishers and sorry for my dishevelled appearance as I was on my way home from a friends and had not changed. I feel I made a mistake and feel quite embarrassed but this was just a blip in my recovery otherwise I'm living a healthy life. Love and blessings."
Mara Lane is said to have had a very positive influence on Jonathan since they started dating
Jonathan has had a well-publicised battle with alcohol since shooting to fame in 2002 in Bend It Like Beckham. It is thought that his fiancée Mara – an American actress and producer – has significantly helped the star in his recovery since the start of their relationship in 2014.
Jonathan reportedly proposed in December after less than 12 months of dating. "They are so in love," a source told E! News at the time. "He is in a great place and Mara and Jonathan really complement one another. He is healthy and happy and starts shooting (new film) Damascus Cover (soon)."
