She's one of the biggest names in music, and now Mariah Carey's superstar status is being cemented - literally. The 45-year-old singer will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next week. Guest speakers at the 5 August ceremony will include director Lee Daniels, Brett Ratner and Epic Records CEO LA Reid.
"Super excited and feeling so humbled about my star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame," Mariah wrote on Instagram on Monday, sharing a photo of a bright pink star emblazoned with her name. "Thank you so much to the fans for making this happen for me. #walkoffame #hollywood #lambily."

In a statement, Ana Martinez, producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremonies, said: "Finally, all questions regarding when Mariah Carey will be honoured with a star are answered.
"Fans have repeatedly asked us when their favourite singer would be honoured, and now is the time."
She added: "We are thrilled that we can add one of the world's biggest talents to our Walk of Fame."
Mariah is one of the most successful acts in music – she has had 18 number one hits, sold millions of albums and won numerous awards, including five Grammys. She recently launched a residency in Las Vegas where she performs all her biggest singles, including We Belong Together, Hero and Visions of Love.

No doubt cheering their mummy on as she receives her star on Wednesday will be Mariah's adorable four-year-old twins Roc and Roe. Fans will also be watching to see if her new man James Packer makes an appearance at the ceremony.
Mariah has been dating the Australian billionaire for around a month now following the end of her six-year marriage to Nick Cannon in August 2014.
