Cathriona White, the ex-girlfriend of Jim Carrey, will be laid to rest on Saturday in her native Ireland. The make-up artist, who died ten days ago, will be flown to County Tipperary.

Various news outlets have reported that a requiem mass will be held at 11:30am, at the Our Lady of Fatima Church in the village of Cappawhite. Cathriona will be buried alongside her father Pat who passed away in 2012 having battled brain cancer for 20 years.

Family members have asked for flowers not to be delivered to the church, but instead for money to be donated to two charities – the Simon Community, who work with homeless people, and the Circle of Friends, who support cancer victims.

A special memorial service was held for Cathriona White by her close friends on Tuesday

Cathriona passed away in her Los Angeles home on Monday 28 September. The 30-year-old died of an apparent suicide and four prescription medicines were found in her house at the time of her death.

On Tuesday, a special memorial service at the Zorthian Ranch in the foothills of Altadena was held. Her close friends attended and expressed their sadness on social media.

Director and photographer Joshua Shultz shared a picture of the order of service, which read, "In loving memory of our sweet Cathriona White," alongside a black-and-white image of the late 30-year-old.

Underneath a quote by author Eckhart Tolle was written: "You are not separate from the whole. You are one with the sun, the earth, the air. You don’t have a life. You are life."

Jim Carrey is expected to fly to Ireland to attend the funeral this weekend.

The Bruce Almighty star was first spotted with Cathriona three years ago but the pair split at the end of 2012. They rekindled their romance and are understood to have dated on off for the past two years.

Cathriona was married to cameraman Mark Burton at the time of her death but intended to divorce her estranged husband in December. The pair wed in Las Vegas in January 2013.

Because Mark was listed as Cathriona's next of kin, he had the right to decide what happens to his ex-partner's assets and personal belongings, and also had the choice to cede this right to her family.
