Celine Dion gives update on husband René's health

Celine Dion has opened up about her husband René Angelil’s health battle. Speaking on Good Morning America, singer said that her husband has been doing well since he discovered that he has terminal cancer. "I’ve been very amazed all my life about my husband. That’s why I married him," said the singer adding, "He’s doing great. He’s stable."

The My Heart Will Go On singer recently returned to her Las Vegas show after taking a year to concentrate on her family. She spent the time caring for her 73-year-old husband after he was diagnosed with cancer for the second time. The Canadian singer says it is her René's strength that makes it possible for her to perform every night."To see him, how strong he is, I knew I was his favourite singer, I knew he was the best manager, I knew he was very smart, I knew he was handsome, I knew it all, but when sickness is imposed to you, and they show you on a daily basis how strong they are.

She went on: "They respect that there’s no yesterday and there’s no tomorrow; today is the only day that’s important and you make the best of it. I’m amazed by him even more than ever before. I was in love with him the first day, and today I find strength and I look at him and I learn so much from him."

Celine recently paid tribute to her husband during her Las Vegas show

Talking about her residency in Las Vegas, the 47-year-old said: "Singing gives me an opportunity to express myself and release stress…and [then] go back home and not allow my kids and my husband to feel my stress because I’m scared. "Whilst she admits that this is a worrying time, Celine has said that she must put her fear aside and be strong for her three children and be the "best mummy and best wife possible".
