Daisy Ridley had the perfect comeback when a fan made a video asking her to his college dance. Kevin Carlock posted the clip on Youtube, in which he and his friends performed a funny sketch and dance routine for the Star Wars actress.Taking to Instagram, 23-year-old Daisy posted a handwritten note to Kevin and, although she won't be joining him at the event, we're sure her response was more than enough for him.

She wrote: "Kevin Carlock, Thank you so much for that brilliant invite to your formal. Unfortunately I'm locked in an intense staring competition with Luke Skywalker, somewhere in the middle of the galaxy, so won't be able to make it. Let me know how it goes! Have fun! Daisy/Rey xo. "Proving that he wasn't bitter about Daisy – who played Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and will reprise the role in Star Wars: Episode VIII next year – turning him down, Kevin posted his own note to Instagram in response.

Kevin/Kevin xo. "Kevin's original video on YouTube has since been viewed over 40,000 times, and he posted a comment on the sharing site to thank fans for watching. "Thanks for the support guys," he wrote. "We're honoured to get a response from Ms Ridley and stoked for Episode VIII. May the formal be with us all!"
