David and Victoria Beckham's youngest son Cruz has showed off his impressive vocals in a new video posted on Instagram. The 11-year-old can safely say he's the singer of the family, as he attempted the notoriously tricky Cups song – and nailed it.

Mastering the acapella tune, Cruz was seen tapping his hands on the table and flipping the cup up, down and around à la Anna Kendrick.

The actress made the song, which is based on the 1931 Carter Family hit When I'm Gone, even more popular when she sang it acapella with a cup in Pitch Perfect.

Cruz Beckham nailed his version of the tricky Cups song

Proud dad David showed off his son's talents online and captioned the video: "Look at my little man go... Ridiculously cute and the enjoyment in his face whilst doing it just makes us smile."

Cruz has clearly inherited his mum Victoria's singing skills. The clip came just days after the former Spice Girl, 42, also uploaded a short clip of her son singing acapella to Twista and Faith Evans' 2005 song Hopeful.

The youngster proved such a hit that many of Victoria's fans likened the youngster to Justin Bieber in their comments.

Talented Cruz might well be considering singing as a profession. His big brothers Brooklyn, 17, and Romeo, 13, have already carved out careers at a young age – Brooklyn as a photographer, and Romeo as a model – but until now Cruz has tended to stay out of the spotlight.

The family have been celebrating Victoria's 42nd birthday

The family have been in Los Angeles for the Easter holidays and over the weekend they celebrated Victoria's birthday. David, who is marking his and Victoria's 17th wedding anniversary this summer, sent a sweet birthday message to his wife on Instagram.

"You deserve to be spoilt by your husband and our gorgeous children... In 42 years you have been able to achieve so much and it feels you are only just starting... Happy birthday we love you," wrote the retired footballer.

The couple's eldest son Brooklyn, who has been partying at Coachella, also posted a throwback snap with his mum, writing: "Happy birthday to the most beautiful, inspirational person in my life! Love you so much! Happy birthday mum."
