While Harry Styles is reportedly planning on going solo during the One Direction hiatus, it appears Niall Horan has decided to form a new boyband to perform with. Sort of. The 22-year-old has teamed up with comedians John Bishop and Paddy McGuinness to create the group One Lad and 2 Dads, and the trio have already shared their first band photo with fans.
Taking to Twitter to announce the news, John joked: "New boy band – me @NiallOfficial and @PaddyMcGuinness – we are called One Lad and 2 Dads."

The news was well received by the comedian's fans with one light-heartedly replying to ask when they'll be going on tour. "Not gonna lie, I'd probably buy the album #WhenAreYouGoingOnTour," they wrote.
But One Direction fans needn't worry, the announcement was just a joke thought up by the trio while they train for UNICEF's Soccer Aid football match on Sunday. Niall is leading the Rest of the World team, and is set to go head-to-head with his bandmate Louis Tomlinson, who is the captain of the England team.

With an eclectic array of stars such as Mark Wright, Jack Whitehall and Marvin Humes joining the teams it is set to be an entertaining event, but training hasn't all gone smoothly. Dad-to-be Gordon Ramsay is currently recovering after rupturing his Achilles tendon during training, while McFly star Danny Jones has also been forced to pull out of the competition after fracturing his elbow on Thursday.
Sharing a photo of himself with his arm in a sling, Danny wrote: "Fractured my elbow!!! Gutted is an understatement. All the team have looked after me @socceraid thanks guys. I'll still be there Sunday to support the guys. Cmon England!!"
