Olly Murs has revealed he's still nursing a broken heart after splitting from his long-term girlfriend last year. He and property manager Francesca Thomas called time on their three-year romance in September – and Olly's not ready to move on yet.

The 32-year-old has managed to keep his love life relatively private since shooting to fame on The X Factor in 2009, but confessed that the split came as a big shock to him.

Olly Murs confessed he's still getting over his split from Francesca Thomas

Speaking to the Daily Star, Olly explained: "I'm still trying to get over how it happened – I'm trying to get over the break up really, you know. I don't think I'm ready to meet anyone else just yet. My mates keep trying to get me to go on Tinder but yeah, never say never."

Despite his pop star status, the Kiss Me hit maker insisted he doesn't have trouble meeting girls, and hinted that he may have had a few casual flings in an attempt to get over Francesca.

But he's busy focusing on his big music comeback

Olly continued: "Even though I'm famous it's not that hard. I think if you put a barrier in front of yourself and say, 'Oh, because I'm famous I can't do that', then you're going to just sit at home and do nothing.

"Yeah, it can be difficult just taking a girl for a general dinner but I think meeting people is quite easy. I like to go to bars with my mates in Essex and I don't like to put any barriers up so if I meet someone I like and I'm attracted to them then I'll take them on a date."

But right now Olly is focusing on his big music comeback, after taking some time out to present The X Factor last year alongside Caroline Flack. He's just released new track You Don't Know Love and is busy working on his fifth studio album, the follow up to 2014's Never Been Better
