Boys' night out! David Beckham and Dave Gardner had a ball as they watched a sports match in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The retired football player and the sports agent, who have been close friends for years, watched the LA Lakers take on the Denver Nuggets at the Staples Center.
David was his cool casual self at the basketball game, showing off his tattoos in a slate T-shirt paired with scruffy jeans and a maroon beanie. The dad-of-four seemed to be having a great night out, catching up with his old friend Dave. The pair laughed and joked as they took in the action from their front row seats, and at one point David gave his fans a cheeky smile and a friendly wave.

The former England football captain, who used to play for LA Galaxy, arrived in his former hometown a couple of days ago. He shared a selfie from the plane, telling fans: "Now time to relax, catch up on some sleep and watch a box set."
David, 41, will be making the most of his time in LA with his close friend Dave. The pair have been pals for years but don't see each other as much, now that Dave lives Stateside with his girlfriend Liv Tyler.

The two Brits will have lots to catch up on, no doubt swapping anecdotes about their children. David has four kids with his wife Victoria – Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper – while Dave welcomed his second child with Liv, a daughter Lula, last summer. The Beckham patriarch is also the godfather to Dave and Liv's firstborn, Sailor, who turns two this month.
He may be enjoying some boys' time in LA but David's family won't be far from his mind. The sports icon recently defended his marriage, saying that he and his wife Victoria stay together because they love each other.

Of the couple's solid 17-year union, David said: "Whenever we've come up against tough times, we know each other better than anybody knows us so we talk. Do we stay together because it's a brand? Of course not. We stay together because we love each other. We stay together because we have four amazing children. Of course we go through tough times. When we go through tough times, we work through it as a unit, as a family."
