For Lily-Rose Depp, growing up with supermodel mom Vanessa Paradis had its perks. “I’ve always been into makeup, even when I was little,” Johnny Depp’s daughter told InStyle magazine. "My mum would be getting ready, and I would ask the makeup artist to put lipstick or lip gloss on me." Since stepping out of her famous parents’s shadows, Lily has made a name for herself in the fashion and beauty world modeling for Chanel and landing the brand’s Chanel No. 5 L'eau campaign.
Lily's mother Vanessa played a role in her love of beauty
"I thought I was dreaming when they asked," the 17-year-old said of following in the footsteps of her mother, along with Nicole Kidman, Keira Knightley and Kate Moss as a face for Chanel. Lily first met designer Karl Lagerfeld when she was only eight-years-old. "He's very down-to-earth," she revealed. "He treats everybody the same way—with genuine respect."
Lily wanted to be her own person depite having famous parents
The Yoga Hosers actress, who modeled sunglasses for Chanel at age 15, admitted that she was determined to be her own person despite her famous parents. "Whatever you want, you should just go for it," she said. "Whatever you have in your head, you can achieve it." That being said, Lily noted that she is not flawless. "I'm not a perfect person," the budding star said. "I have my own issues. You just have to be who you are and be the best version of that."
