Elton John's sons are keen football fans, and even have their favourite England team players! Ahead of the England vs Croatia World Cup semi-final match on Wednesday night, the Rocket Man singer showed his family's support for the team by sharing a sweet photo of his two sons in their England football shirts. Seven-year-old Zachary had a T-shirt with captain Harry Kane's name on the back, while Elijah, five, is a fan of winger Jesse Lingard. "Come on England!!! #ItsComingHome," Elton captioned the photo. The singer shares his two boys with husband David Furnish, and rarely posts pictures of them on social media. As a result, the supportive photo went down a treat with his fans. "So cute," one wrote in the comments section, while another observed: "They are growing up fast." A third added: "Awesome pic!"

There is no denying that Elton and David are doting parents, with the musician previously crediting his sons for changing "everything about my life". Speaking to The Mirror, Elton explained: "I've learned that the simplest things in life, like having a minute with them, are worth more than any painting, any photograph, any house or hit record. Before we had the children we just had our lives and we would spend money because we didn't have anything else to focus on." He continued: "We have really toned things down because we have enough stuff. There is nothing else we need."

Elton has even decided to retire after a world tour so that he can spend more time with his children and watch them grow up. The 70-year-old revealed his plans during a live press conference in January. He said: "I am not going to be touring any more apart from September, which will be a global tour. My priorities have changed in my life. We had children, they have changed our lives." Elton added: "In 2015, David [Furnish] and I sat down with a school schedule and I said 'I don’t want to miss too much of this.' The priorities in my life have changed, my priorities are now my children, and my husband. I thought the time was right to say thank you to all my fans around the world globally, and to say goodbye, to have a breather."
