Brooklyn Beckham made headlines on Friday after his sister Harper knocked on the door of his LA home, only to leave 30 seconds later, while in California to watch her dad David Beckham receive his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Why fans were no doubt confused as to why the youngest child of David and Victoria Beckham's visit was so short, Brooklyn has now revealed that he was in fact in New York at the time of Harper's visit.

David's call-out

Despite being absent from David's big moment in La La Land, the former footballer honoured all four of his children in his speech, saying they are the reason he "gets out of the bed in the morning."

David, 50, said: "Most of all, I want to thank my incredible family. "My parents and my sisters, who always supported my dreams. Victoria, my amazing wife for almost 30 years. Without whom, none of this would be possible or as enjoyable. And my beautiful children, who are the reason that I get out of the bed in the morning."

David continued: "Kids - I'm going to get emotional now - I hope you bring my grandchildren here one day and tell them about a boy who dreamed big," Beckham said. "To make you all proud is my greatest achievement. I'm so grateful for you all, thank you, and thank you so much for this honour, L.A., it means so much."

Romeo's message for Brooklyn

Ahead of David's big moment, in the exclusive video obtained by HELLO!, Romeo, 23, was stopped by a photographer while walking down Melrose Avenue on Thursday to ask if Brooklyn would attend the star unveiling. See the moment below.

Despite not being on talking terms with his elder brother, Romeo simply said that he loves him.

Brooklyn has been estranged from his family in recent months following the bombshell 800-word statement he released in January, during which he said he did not want 'reconciliation' with his family.
