"I want to do everything," Caprice Bourret told HELLO! earlier this year, and now the versatile model/actress/TV presenter/lingerie designer is about to embark on yet another fresh venture in life - marriage.
The 28-year-old American beauty has become engaged to 21-year-old millionaire Alex Davis, also an American. The couple have been dating since last November, and when we spoke to Caprice in January, she coyly admitted that there was someone special in her life, "and things are going great."
So great that Alex, who works for the Chicago Board of Trade, has now popped the question at his house in California, and the young couple will be taking a walk up the aisle at a yet-to-be-disclosed date.
And Caprice, who freely admits that she has previously put her career before her relationships, has a clear-sighted approach to long-term commitment. "I don't think there's such as a thing as a perfect relationship," she told us. "Every relationship has its ups and downs, but if you have a good understanding, you work things out. I'm looking for somebody to be my friend. I want a soul mate."
The model-turned-West End actress, who is currently shooting her first film in Canada with Vinnie Jones, now seems to have found her soul mate, but what of her legions of admirers? "This will come as a devastating blow to men across the world," agrees her manager, "but there is always her 2004 calendar, due out soon."
