Paris throbs with beautiful, bold lingerie

Extroverts are going to be thrilled by the upcoming season's lingerie: if you've got it, flaunt it, and if you haven't, your underwear will do plenty of flaunting anyway, seems to be the message from the International Lingerie Show in Paris.

The French capital is throbbing with the vibrant colours and uninhibited designs being offered up by the world's top lingerie houses, and one thing is for sure – bold and beautiful go hand in hand.

There's everything from 'complete for the street' creations - just fine with a little jacket and jaunty hat flung on top - to the seriously boudoir look of feather-trimmed wraps floating over pink and blue pretties.

Mae West fans will adore the Wild West saloon ranges that Ultra Lingerie is tempting us with: tantalisingly-placed feathers and ruffles mark a delicious return to demure provocation.

And though there are plenty of simple thongs and smooth looks to be inspired by, this year's collections will appeal most to confident ladies who know how to grab the attention without sacrificing their comfort.
