Joshua joins the fashion set in Paris for the menswear shows

After a packed four days of menswear shows in Milan, the fashion set moved onto Paris this week, where the leading names in fashion continued to unveil their looks for next winter. Taking a front row seat alongside them at the Louis Vuitton presentation was former Dawson's Creek star Joshua Jackson, suitably dapper in a silk scarf and trilby hat.

Referring to the recent trend for figure-hugging suits, the actor praised the French fashion house's more relaxed approach to tailoring. "I can actually put this on and not feel like I'm in shrink-wrap," the 29-year-old said, pointing to his Vuitton jacket.

While the Milan shows were dominated by puffer-jackets, oversized jerseys and larger-than-life fur jackets, simple silhouettes were a key look on the Parisian runways, with designers giving their own take on the classic suit.

While Joshua checked out the Vuitton creations - which featured secret pockets and reversible tricks in muted tones of emerald, sapphire, and taupe - Jean Paul Gaultier sent models down the runway in a collection which included dark green satin-effect designs accessorised with bowler hats and umbrellas.

Providing a splash of colour, meanwhile, was Japanese label Yohji Yamamoto, which presented loose-fitting ensembles in lime green, orange and bright purple.
